The Fuquay-Varina Lions Club will sponsor its 14th annual golf tournament at Bentwinds Country Club on April 21 at 12 noon. Major proceeds from this superball tournament will go to covering the expenses of bringing the 21st Century Vision Van to Fuquay-Varina this year. This van will provide the opportunity for many local families to get vision health screenings at little to no cost. As always, 100 percent of the proceeds from the tournament go to help local and state charities. The Lions are currently contacting local businesses and individuals for their support. Last year we had over 125 individuals and merchants supporting our effort.

Applications for teams and sponsorship can be had from any Lions Club member or calling Brian Kostek, 647-9859 or Larry Bennett, 552-4240. Team sponsorships are $375 which includes golf, lunch, dinner, prizes and mulligans. Other support can be provided through hole sponsorship and brochure advertisements.
